How to Install Mvci Driver For Toyota-cable 2.0 on Windows 10
If you have a Mini VCI cable and want to use it with Toyota Techstream software, you may encounter some compatibility issues on Windows 10 64-bit system. This article will show you how to install the Mvci Driver For Toyota-cable 2.0 on your computer and make it work with Techstream.
What You Need
A Mini VCI cable with firmware 1.4.1 or higher
Toyota Techstream software (any version)
A Windows 10 64-bit computer

Step 1: Extract the Zip File
After downloading the zip file, extract it to a folder on your computer. You should see the following contents:
Step 2: Create Some Folders and Copy Some Files
Go to C:\\Program Files (x86) and create a new folder named XHorse Electronics. Inside that folder, create another folder named MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS.
Copy the files FirmwareUpdateTool and MVCI32.dll from the zip file to the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS folder. It should look like this:
This step is very important, as these files are needed for Techstream to communicate with the Mini VCI cable.
Step 3: Install the Drivers
Plug in your Mini VCI cable and wait for Windows to recognize it and load the drivers. If Windows fails to do so, you can manually install them from the zip file.
Go to the ftdibus folder in the zip file, right-click on the ftdibus.inf file and click Install. Accept any warnings that appear.
Go to the ftdiport folder in the zip file, right-click on the ftdiport.inf file and click Install. Accept any warnings that appear.
Open the Device Manager (Win Key+X then select Device Manager) and expand the Ports (COM & LPT) node. You should see a USB Serial Port (COM) device. Double-click on it and go to the Driver tab. Click on Update Driver, then Browse my computer for driver software, then Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer. Select USB Serial Converter from the list and click Next.
Click Yes to confirm and wait for the driver installation to finish.
Step 4: Activate Techstream
Open Techstream software on your desktop. If Windows gives a Java Runtime error, press No to ignore.
If Techstream asks you to enter an activation key, press Cancel.
Select Setup tab -> VIM Select -> Xhorse MVCI and press OK.
Open the Readme text file in the zip file and copy the line that starts with Techstream.exe/395070/VM:1.
Right-click on Techstream on your desktop and go to Properties. Replace the Target field with C:\\Program Files\\Toyota Diagnostics\\Techstream\\bin\\Techstream.exe/395070/VM:1 (or wherever your Techstream.exe file is located). Then press Apply and OK. a474f39169
